How do I add a license?
- Tap the "+" button on the main screen
- Fill in the license details (title, category, state, dates)
- Optionally add a photo of your physical license
- Enable reminders if you want expiration alerts
- Tap "Save" or navigate back
How do I set up expiration reminders?
When viewing a license:
- Scroll to the "Reminders" section
- Toggle "Enable Reminder" to ON
- Adjust the lead time (days before expiration for early warning)
- Tap "Schedule/Update Reminder" to confirm
You'll receive notifications at 9:00 AM on the warning date and at the exact expiration time.
Can I purchase licenses through the app?
No. Outdoor Wallet is a tracking and reminder app only. To purchase or renew licenses, use the custom links feature to save links to your state's official licensing website for quick access.
How do I add photos to my bragging board?
- Go to the "Bragging Board" tab
- Tap the "+" button or "Add Photo" button
- Choose from your photo library or take a new photo
- Optionally add a description
Can I track licenses from multiple states?
Yes! Add as many licenses as you need from any state. Each license has a "State" field where you can specify which state it's from.
How do I add custom links (for regulations, drawings, etc.)?
When viewing a license:
- Scroll to the "Links" section
- Tap "Add Custom Link"
- Enter a title (e.g., "Drawing Results") and URL
- Tap "Add"
Your custom links will appear in that license's Links section for quick access.
Why didn't I receive a notification?
Check these common issues:
- Make sure "Enable Reminder" is toggled ON for that license
- Verify notifications are allowed in iOS Settings > Outdoor Wallet > Notifications
- Check if the notification date is in the past
- Tap "Schedule/Update Reminder" to manually trigger scheduling
- Make sure Do Not Disturb isn't blocking notifications
How do I delete a license?
- Open the license you want to delete
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap "Delete License"
- Confirm the deletion
Is my data backed up?
All data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone/iPad, your app data will be included in your device backups. To restore data, restore from an iCloud backup.
How do I track my family's licenses?
Add licenses for each family member and use the title or notes field to identify whose license it is (e.g., "John's Fishing License" or "Sarah's Hunting Permit"). You can track unlimited licenses in the app.
What categories can I track?
Built-in categories include:
- Fishing
- Hunting
- Combo (Fishing & Hunting)
- Park Pass
- OHV/ORV
- Boat Registration
- Other/Custom
